How does warranty work

As you know im selling my 360 on eBay. I got a message off a potential buyer asking if the Xbox has any warranty left. I bought the 360 new 8 months ago and took out insurance on it.

I've still got the receipt from purchase and i think the insurance thing is lying around here somewhere.

transfer the warrenty/insurance over to him i guess. im sure you can do it, if not, then he'll have to get insurance for it himself.

go on xbox.com, support and u can add the 360 serial number. but i think the other person does that as its his account, not urs. transferring warranty is almost impossible sometimes.

well, if you sell it him, and he tres to get it fixed i dont think they will care they will replace it regardless, i dont know if its the same for box but with my ps3 they just asked for the serial number and then where i purchased it from

u might aswell cancel the insurance......theres no need for that anyway if its under warrenty....... the warrenty will be in the form of a piece of paper....it belongs to the console not u so u just pass it onto him.... it should be under warrenty for 12 months anyway
