Isn't this thread completely subjective? Couldn't a 8/10 for one person be of a completely different standard to an 8/10 for another. I'm not on about differing opinions, just how harsh or leniant certain people are on each film.
Also X-Unit, how do you differentiate between what you perceive an 8.3/10 to what you would give an 8.4/10 ? I'm not having a go at anyone here but I just think numerical values for ratings are completely arbitrary.

I'd then think of a movie I gave a better and a worse rating than 8.4, such as a movie I gave 8.3 or 8.5 then.. and think if it fits well in between there.

There are miles between a rating of 9 and a 10 (/10). Whole 10%, if we were about 100% ratings.

So I could also say I gave movie x a rating of 84%/100. It's obviously the same then, just saying.

And yes, this thread is subjective as anyone's opinion is.
This isn't intended to be an objective thread in any way. If you think a movie sucked, well so be it. And vice versa.

I bought the trilogy on Blu Ray last week and been watching them again. The Matrix was so far ahead of its time it could be released today and still be considered up to scratch. The story, special effects and pure epicness of it all goes down as one of my faviourite films eva.

Saw Wolverine on Sunday. It's an ok film.. some stuff doesn't tie up with other movies etc or with the comic books. Parts of the CGI were utter wank though. Spent most the movie dishing through my haribo starmix tub trying to avoid the orange and yellow ones.. Id give it 6/10.

X-Men Origins. brilliant entertaining movie with crap loads of action.. the intro of the movie is one of the best i ever seen, the fight scenes are A* amazingness. the choreography was bluddeh wicked.
it did get a bit slow in the middle which was beginning to become a drag lol. some scenes could have been better

Bangkok Dangerous, 5/10. Was good but it was so predictable that it was annoying me lol :D
Plus one part, hes meant to be like best hitman ever, (nicolas Cage) and he shoots this guy lying on the floor with no arm, you see him shoot then the camera cuts to under the boat, and about 8-9 bullets at different angles fly though the water, Precise hitman or what.. Just annoying things like that. Hes with someone gets mugged out of the blue by people with guns and just what happens after it just like never happened in the film, and is completly forgot off.

Saw dark knight for the first time... I can't rate it yet, i may need to watch it again. Although some of the best acting i've seen with the joker. Well scripted and directed, just i didn't understand the point of the storyline, and the film did kinda drag on abit. They should of saved 2 face for the second film and they dragged on the story by making it more complicated than needed. Batman is the good guy, joker is the bad guy... What more do you need in a story? And the whole joker being one step ahead everytime got rather repetitive and annoying.

How come some aliens die within one bullet yet half alien half man takes 3 and shrugs them off.
When he was in the robot and the robot was getting shot etc did he take the damage aswell?
When the father said you need to start getting over him, seemed like bad scripting ya 5 minutes after you're husband died you need to start getting over him been mourning a bit long
Why did they need that much fuel when the bigger ship could have beamed them up surely only a small amount of fuel would be need to issue the command to the massive ship
How could the alien and the main character get downtown johannusburg when the military are supposed to be tightly watching the facility?
How could any prostitute have sex with a massive insect ting when the insect things have little to no money
How come the news broadcaster had that evil dude killing hundreds of aliens for no reason and the human rights activists never intervened they actually went outside to see if any abuses took place when they've saw alot of them on the news

Lots more I have the shittest memory though and have forgot alot of them.

I suppose, just i like a good story and i wanted to see what the secret message was within the story. Was obvious there was more too is with the whole "They need a true hero" or that they was trying to say that batman and joker was basicly the same type of people. And the joker trying to prove that humanity is just as bad as him, corrupt and selfish but batman always tried to say otherwise. Maybe i payed too much attention to it.

But the acting and directing was awsome. They must of had a HUGE buget for it. Although i don't get why batman had to have a horrid voice like that, like some solid snake wannabe. If it was to hide his real voice, why didn't they give him a voice changer as one of his gadgets? Would of made more sense to me.

I can see why people liked it and it's a great film in everyway, just i found the story lacking and that what i look for in a good film.

Do not watch it in 3D.
It's actually been filmed in 2D, and the 3D bits was just very small changes that came at very late stages of the producing of this movie.
We've therefore seen it in 2D.
And the Kraken is boring as fuck tbh. Had something in common with the Cloverfield monster, but it's nowhere near frightening, nowhere near destructable. Just plain dumb.

I lol'd at some dumb reviews on the movie. People who clearly too stupid to understand it and wanted to hate it.

I'd give it a 9.5 (I never give 10).

If you haven't seen it, skip the first 5 mins of it to avoid the big spoiler. I missed it but alot of people said it ruined the film. Also, watch it with a headset on for nice surround sound effects. And don't harp on about "Oh that was unrealistic", just forget all that and enjoy the action.
