Liverpool and Chelsea will renew their UEFA Champions League rivalry at the quarter-final stage, while Manchester United will face Porto and Arsenal will meet Villarreal.
The four Premier League clubs have been kept apart in the early stages of the competition but at least one is certain to exit Europe after Liverpool were pitted against Chelsea for a fifth successive year.
Rafa Benitez's Reds, who thumped Real Madrid 5-0 on aggregate in the last 16, will be at home for the first leg of their clash with Chelsea.
The Blues beat Liverpool in the semi-finals last season and have been in fine form since the appointment of Guus Hiddink as manager.
Holders Manchester United will fancy their chances of making it through to the last four after being paired against Portuguese underdogs Porto, with the first leg to be played at Old Trafford.
Arsenal, fresh from beating Roma on penalties, will travel to Villarreal before tackling the Spaniards at Emirates Stadium in the second leg.
In the fourth quarter-final, highly-fancied Barcelona will take on a Bayern Munich side that hammered Sporting 12-1 on aggregate in the last round.
The semi-final draw was also made in Nyon and the winners of the tie between Liverpool and Chelsea will face either Bayern or Barca.
United will face Arsenal in the last four if both sides come through their quarter-finals.
Champions League quarter-final draw
Villarreal v Arsenal
Manchester United v Porto
Liverpool v Chelsea
Barcelona v Bayern Munich
Ties to be played on 7th/8th April and 14th/15th April.
Champions League semi-final draw
Manchester United or Porto v Villarreal or Arsenal
Barcelona or Bayern Munich v Liverpool or Chelsea
Ties to be played on 28th/29th April and 5th/6th May.

Should have put it in the already made CL thread. Nvm.
Best possible draw for English teams I think. Two of them against each other so that is one through guaranteed. Man Utd have the easiest team and then Arsenal have the second easiest. The two "giants" outside of England, Bayern and Barca got drawn against each other.
Man Utd have to be happiest. Almost already in the final with this draw.
Liverpool vs Chelsea agaaain. Really crap draw that is.
I'm hoping for a Barca vs Utd final where Utd cant tactically win over two legs. Utd vs pool would also be a good final for the passion that would be in the game.
Also UEFA cup draw.
Hamburg v Manchester City
Paris St Germain v Dynamo Kiev
Shakhtar Donetsk v Marseille
Werder Bremen v Udinese

True, am happy with Uniteds draw. Should make it to the final tbh.
Would love to see a repeat of the 1999 final, United v Bayern Munich... Would be class.
This is possibly Uniteds best chance of the much talked quintuple.

Not Liverpool again...
And once again Man Utd get the easiest route through. Fucking cunts.

When you are wrong ok. :p
United vs Arsenal (villareal is not hugely unlikely though)
Liverpool/Chesea vs Barcelona (Bayern is not hugely unlikely though)
Edit: I'm sitting on the fence a bit too much I think lol.
United vs Arsenal
Liverpool vs Barcelona

Was hoping we got either villareal or porto, so theres a good chance we can atleast get through them now, united should walk past porto and it make a tense tie against them.
I imagine united will beat us, however if we can get rosicky / fabregas / adebayor match fit then we might just get lucky. Aslong as bendtner doesnt play we stand half a chance.
As for the rest of the draws, Barca vs Bayern is a tight one, barca are good but bayern can be unpredictable.
Chelsea vs scousers should be a good talking point, I imagine the match will be fairly balanced and neither team will wanna risk to much, so could go either way.
---
Pretty decent draw overall though, definately looks like a united vs barca final is possible

Nah it will be United versus an English club and it's set in stone that we will win the quintuple.

Exhibit A: The smug, hateful Man Utd fan. Notice the cocky attitude, religious-like blind belief and total disregard for the presense of other teams.
Nothing personal Psycho, but in my experience you're all like that. If Chelsea have anything to do with Utd losing even one of those five trophies it would be a genuine pleasure.

Haha you're so right Maz about many glory hunting United fans. But having lived in Manchester for many years, my family all having originated there and having genuinely fallen in love with them (read: David Beckham's hair :P) at a very young age I'm not the typical prawn eating Londoner to which your stereotype has some truth.
I'm not smug and I never rub victory into the looser. I'd be at it 24/7 if that was the case!
I'm not hateful and I support football in general and English teams in Europe. For example, I would be unhappy if we were winning 1-0 every week from scrappy corners etc.
What you see as cocky I would describe as confidence in my team. No bad thing.
And I despise religion for the very reason that it is blind belief found in death fearing morons who are so inadequate that they require some invented divine being to instuct them what to do. Plus they all fancy their mums. The difference is I get nervous when big matches come around and can admit we were terrible today at Fulham whereas 'believers' won't let evidence count agaist their faith (see A. J. Ayer's Logical Positivism and specifically the Verification and Falsification Principles).
Much love.

o.O
k
But yeah, I'd love to gloat about Fulham right about now, but since we lost too it doesn't make much difference :(

there banging goals in left right and centre this season though. they've scored 6 gols in la liga 3/4 times this season.
messi's goal tonight and against Lyon the other week just shows how lethal he is. Henry and Eto'o are bagging aswell.

If Arsenal hadn't been such pussies when facing goal and taken a shot once in a while, it wouldn't have been such a battering.

Same old problem as usual. Things are looking up though and now with Arshavin (and probably a new CB and CM in the summer) I reckon Arsenal will be more of a threat next year.

Honestly what is the deal with referees ruining games right now?
These clear mistakes are simply way too costly to be made in games like these.
Do people still not want video technology as 'it makes conversations about decisions more interesting' after that? Bad decisions have cost people a lot of glory and even money there.

Apart from the ref both the goals scored in the match were pretty amazing.
