Watchmen Review *CONTAINS SPOILERS*

went to see this last night with phoenix, maz n a few other mates.

the intro song went on for about 15 min n kinda made me think what the fuck have i come to see...lol

the film has a slow build up givin a pretty in depth look into the backround of alot of the characters, which i found wasn't so neccessary to do esp as this part went on for about n hour, althou this bit was a bit boring theres was still some really cool shit happenin that made up for the slower parts

then the film starts really kicking off for the next hour or so and they dont really hold back with the gore n stuff...

the ending kinda divided us, some thought it was a bit poo, i thought it was quite good.

overall its a pretty good film, the kinda lead character "Roshack" really makes the film as hes a nasty fucker........and u gotta go see it just for the blue guys willy.......althou we were the only ones in the cinema laughin at it it was still funny as fuck........plus half way thru the film i nugged my mate who leaned over thinkin i was gonna tell him somethin when i gave him the ultimate cub cake that had me fucking cryin my eyes out in my seat

yeah watched it on the net, the intro is very long and stupid. Roshack is the nuts, i loved the gore in the show. Dr Manhattans(the blue guy) is just a pure fucking beast.

At 1st i didn't really think much to it, but i found myself watching it again today and paying attention and enjoyed it. I thought the ending was good, it had some good twists. 8/10

I enjoyed it.

As previously said there was a rather big build up.. but considering this is based on a rather beefy book then it; was kind of nessasary to understand some parts, as they had enough to essentially make 2 films.

Roshak made it.. was such a cool character. Special effects were really good.. and they held nothing back.. even men beating this shit out of women.. lol... even ppl getting shot was awesome. Really advise you watch it in the cinema over the internet.. as the sound quality and volume was epic.

The end was sad.. : ( I shed a tear.. so did Maz.. but i won't say no more.

Some parts just made me laugh so much, and Dr manhattans cock never failed to impress me.

Overall a film that will be epic on bluray once released.

Went to see this on release and I thought it was a really good film. The first 2 hours and a bit were awesome, but the last 20 minutes or so felt rushed. I wasn't that sure what really happened at the end initially although I did like how at the ending Rorschach is the one character who wouldn't go along with it (being vague here purposefully) so the psychopath is the only one with any morals.

was a pretty sick film, i didn't find it boring at all, maybe because i had acrtually read the novel a couple times or because im just a patient film watcher i do not know. was a good film, and rorschach is hardly a nasty fucker, he is just an absolute moralist, no grey areas, just black and white, like his mask (its liek got metaphores you get me!).

Why would it? The reason the russians hadn't attacked was cause the US had Dr Manhattan, if the events that happened to make him go a bit crazy (again, trying not to discuss plot) didnt happen, he still would have been there to prevent war.

but changing the story or discussing stuff that didn't happen is pointless, its weird that you even brought it up. As i said before discuss what actually happened in the film and not what may have happened if the script writers and story writers had a change of heart and decided to write something completely different and all this confusion would be avoided seeing as how no one except yourself it seemed knew what you were actually talking about.

anyway going on what you said, if dr manhattan had been there, so would the tension and eventual nuclear holocaust, such is human nature. By doing what they did they created a peace and a common enemy to fight(dr manhattan) therefore settling their own differences.

but he didn't want to, he feels no attachment and is tired of getting pulled into the affairs of a species he no longer cares about, that happens because of the girl(can't remember her name) dumping him. He wouldn't have tried to stop it after that, and he wouldn't have tried to stop it had she not gone and begged with him at the end. He was near-devoid of all emotion, the only people he cared about were the people he well...cared about personally.
