A rip off of puns thread on CG.

Post your team or sporting persons results up in here so that threads are not made for what is meaningless games to the rest of us. :)

To start us off!!

Celtic 2-0 Rangers :w00t::w00t:

Fucking buzzing right now. Celtic deserved the win as well.

Come on, 4 in a row next up!

Sheff Wed 0-0 Swansea

Good point but theres no wondew why Cardiff and Swansea fans have a reputation. Coming up here and starting trouble, pathetic.

Dundee Utd 2 - 2 Celtic

Another shit performance from Celtic and a great oppertunity to really pull us away from Rangers at the top missed. Yet again we are uncomfortable when in front and couldn't kill off a game. An uncharacteristcally poor performance from Naka which didn't help, a characteristically poor performance from VOH and Naylor as always. (great goal form Naylor though.) Tannadice is a hard place to go and win at though and since Rangers slipped up badly it doesn't matter too much.

Holland 3 - 0 Scotland

The scoreline doesn't really reflect the game at all. I thought we we were quite comfortable for most of the game and it was only a lack of concentration and bad orginization that cost us from set pieces. If Miller was a half decent striker then we might have taken the lead early on. We had a goal chopped off for absoloutely no reason at all which would have taken us right back into the game and the penalty was just silly frustration on our part.

I predicted before the game that we would lose two or three nil and i'm not really dissapointed because our performance was better than what I expected.

You only scored three. Germany should have won. :P

I don't think you will be able to retain the title though.

Celtic 2 - 1 Inter Milan!!!! ......

But seriously since this thread has actually been posted in again:

Scotland 2 - 1 Iceland.

I enjoyed this a lot. Was nice to see us achieving again. Got a bit lucky with winning the corner for the second goal but we need some luck for once.

Gordon played a blinder

I'm hoping for once we'll see all the home countries in the finals - although seems very doubtful for wales.. but they have 4 games to turn that around.

I think we'll see Ireland and Scotland make it easily, provided they don't get someone like Portugal in the play offs (or even each other). Despite NI doing so well, I think they are most likely not to qualify, the way their group is shaping up is very strange, there's still 4 of them in for the top 2 spots. Hope they can keep it up though.

The Scotland team is in all kinds of shit right now.

Not really.

Barry Ferguson is old and has definetly seen his better days come and go unless he has some magnificent late career form. We have better options in the central midfield from Darren Fletcher and Scott Brown with the likes of barry robson and Paul Hartley being more than enough for back up.

Alan McGregor is a great keeper and will be missed if Craig Gordon gets injured but he is no where near as good as Gordon.

Burley doesn't seem to be one for keeping out the headlines though but I for one back him after the last two matches.

Some dodgy freindlys to start with but no big deal. The loss against Macedonia was bad but was slightly understandable in the heat and conditions. Two 2-1 victorys against Iceland are perfectly good. A loss to Holland is expected but as I said wasn't as bad as the scoreline suggested. Then in the Norway game we were the better team and should have if was not for THAT miss...
