took gf to see it last nite, was ok, stuck to the book. Kind of dragged on though as there wasn't much action and reports that it was "scary" were greatly over exaggerated, there was like 1 bit where everyone jumped. Mjor moments were kind of nondescript and alot of the time people looked really wooden when acting

6/10

It's decent if you haven't read the book, but if you have read the book, like me, then you will think its a wanktastic build-up the an ending which they cut out, and the ending of the book just happened to be one of the best parts of the whole series, fucking tards.

Thought I may as well post this here, rather than create a new thread.

For Harry Potter and The Deathly Hollows, they're doing two parts (ie Two seperate movies).

don't see how you could of enjoyed the previous films tbh...thought they've all been pretty poor and lacked extreme imagination and decent directing.

i thought it stayed pretty true to the book right up until that ending where like i said it was "nondescript". Thought it was too boring though. I have read the books and agree non of the films have lived up to them in the slightest.

lol thats not a good thing, its so they can get more money out of you as every harry potter film hasn't failed to make less than £600 million at the box office alone.

Tbh i do agree, they do lack imagination and good directing, but it's just the vibe of the film i like.. cant really explain it tbh..

saw it at the weekend and there wasn't as much action as it should of had they seemed to concentrate more on the storyline, also the ending was really bad.:huh:

The films have always been a letdown. The first one is the only Harry Potter film I enjoyed. All the others have been abit lame.

Most films based on books are usually not as good anyway, so it comes as no suprise.

@Cent

Yeah, I agree. They're excuse was that they thought the ending was amazing and that it deserved 2 parts.

Have YOU read the books? There was barely any action in the film, in fact, name one action sequence. The big fight at the end of the book was completely ommitted which was just stupid. It followed the book to a point, but it missed some important parts, notably the fight and the funeral, and added two scenes from no where. Overall it was like all Harry Potter films, disappointing.

Yes I agree... to an extent. But there was still far more 'story' left out than action. And there were loads and loads of little changes to save time. One which springs to mind is how Luna discovers Harry and lets him out of Draco's full body-bind. In the book it's Tonks which would have needed an intro scene to make sense. And yeah obv the big fight at the end is a glaring action ommission. I guess they did a decent job altogether.

how would it lol? you saw who she was in the last film and not to mention in the book the order of the phoenix has someone following harry to make sure he's ok

all that wouldhave been needed to make the actual story into the film was tonks saying "we've got someone folllowing you to make sure your ok"

they did a shit job as usual, i need to read the books again just do it doesn't trample all over the fond memories of my read experiences.
